By purchasing from us in-store, or online and/or having a new unit shipped to you, you agree to ALL of these Terms/Conditions & Disclaimer.

Prices are subject to change at any time. We reserve the right to change prices, product specifications, and product availability without changes to the web pages containing the prices and product description or any other page on the web site. We also reserve the right to make changes or improvements to the content of this web site at any time, E&OE. If the availability or price of a product has changed since the last publication, we will notify the customer before processing the order.

CARRY-IN WARRANTY: New units have a 6-month warranty for Commercial Use, and a 1-year warranty for Domestic Use – this warranty is against Manufacturer’s Defects, not wear and tear, abuse or Operator error. The warranty is supplied by our Supplier. Transport costs are not covered under warranty, the unit would need to be taken to your nearest dealer or returned to ourselves at your expense, and any transport costs incurred for goods sent to you as replacement/repair under warranty is for your expense. The Supplier always requires the faulty part to be returned to us for assessment (in the event that the whole unit is not returned, although they may request this).
PLEASE NOTE: Some units are suitable for Domestic Use only, and have no warranty if used in a Commercial application. Please be sure you are purchasing the correct unit for your application. If you are not sure, please call us or email us and we will be happy to advise you on the correct unit for your application, as we know all the correct questions to ask you in order to determine this information. We cannot be held responsible for you purchasing an incorrect product for your application if you did not ask us for advice.

SHIPPING:

As this website is a catalogue of many of the items we sell, and not all items are kept in stock all of the time, on many occasions we have to obtain the item from the supplier warehouse before we can send it to you. In this case there can be a turnaround time of three days before we actually ship it, or it is available to collect in-store. We will do our best to keep you informed of the progress of your order at all times. Once shipped, you can usually expect a 2-4 day delivery period using Economy Road Freight via The Courier Guy. Any sizes, dimensions or weights displayed in the Additional Information Tab are for shipping purposes only and are not necessarily the actual size of the product. WE DO NOT SHIP STIHL MACHINES.

The Cart is currently only configured to ship certain products within South Africa. If you are outside RSA please email us, we will see if we can get a quote for shipping to you, we may not be able to arrange shipping to certain countries.

SHIPPING INSURANCE: At Checkout there is an option to tick if you would like to take Insurance. As is the norm with insurance claims, if a claim is made for loss or damage in transit, there is an excess (first amount payable) that will be deducted from your claim. The Courier Guy’s insurance wording is as follows:

“The company shall insure the goods for an amount not exceeding One Thousand Rand (R1000), where insurance is requested but no value declared for a premium. Where insurance is requested and the value declared exceeds One Thousand Rand (R1000) a premium representing a percentage of the declared value will be levied. In the event of a claim, a minimum excess of the declared value applies. In the event of a hi-jack or theft a minimum of fifteen (15) percent excess of the declared value will apply, the minimum excess applicable being Two Thousand Five Hundred (R2500). In the event of loss due to non hi-jacking or no theft a minimum of ten (10) percent excess of the declared value will apply, the minimum excess applicable being One Thousand (R1000). The Company is not obliged to insure goods exceeding Ten Thousand Rand (R10 000).”

Sometimes we may use an alternate courier, and certain products have NO INSURANCE OPTION due to their nature, value, package size or weight, and we request that you take out your own insurance before we ship it, if you do require your goods to be insured. Please Note: THE RISK PASSES TO YOU ONCE YOUR GOODS LEAVE OUR SHOP.

RETURN/REFUND POLICY: Only goods that are defective under warranty may be returned for us to repair, or refund / exchange on the instruction of our Supplier.

We cannot be held responsible if you purchased the incorrect product and did not obtain our advice first. However, at our discretion, and depending on which product it is and whether it is a usual stock item or whether it was a Special Order ex warehouse, we MAY consider refunding or exchanging your item under the following conditions:

  • If we agree that the item may be returned you must do so within 30 days of the ship date at your cost.
  • The product is in its original packaging and the packaging is in resalable condition.
  • The product is in like-new condition, with no signs of use, wear, or damage.
  • The product is returned with all the original paperwork, owner’s manuals etc, that accompanied the item ordered.

On receipt of the product we will either apply the credit toward an exchange or provide a refund for the retail cost of the item (less any shipping and 15% restocking fees). A re-stocking fee of 15% will be charged on all such returns. It is therefore important to ensure correct ordering of products. We provide detailed information about each product, so please check all of the specifications and features to make sure it is suitable and fit for purpose, before submitting an order.
